Education Centres-Executive Training

Classes take place at specially-designed NIIT Imperia Education Centres. Classrooms are configured to optimally utilize Synchronous Learning technology for a "live" student experience. While direct one-to-one interaction is ensured through individual ICT-systems for each student (high-performance desktops, webcam, audio system and microphone at each workstation connected directly to faculty at institutes), classroom interactions & ambience are facilitated by clusters of student-stations, and camera & projection systems that span the full classroom.

In addition to these specially-designed classrooms, Education Centres provide Lecture Rooms for presentations, Breakout Rooms for case-discussions and collaborative assignments, library & reading room equipped with Internet kiosks, and - of course - a hangout area where refreshments are available. COMMON ADMISSION PROCESS AND PROGRAM APTITUDE TEST

All candidates need to complete the Common Application Form (CAF) as the first step in the admission process. Selection is on the basis of the application material and the performance in the Program Aptitude Test conducted by NIIT Imperia.

Application Process
  1. The CAF is in two parts, Part-A and Part-B. Both parts may be completed online or by writing on the CAF blank that can be downloaded or collected from NIIT Imperia centres. Part-A needs to be completed and payment towards Application Fees made, in order to be permitted to appear at the Program Aptitude Test (PAT). Part-B needs to be completed latest by the time of appearing for the PAT. Photocopies of supporting documents (2 passport-sized photographs, academic certificates from +2 stage, and documents in support of work experience) must also be submitted latest by the time of the PAT.
  2. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the stated eligibility requirements. Permission to appear for PAT does not imply that application data or eligibility requirements have been verified by NIIT Imperia.
  3. Candidates need to carry a valid photo-id to the PAT. They should ensure that details on the CAF match with the photo-id.
  4. Application Fees of Rs 1000/- to be paid for each application/ program. For all the programs the applicant has to make an initial payment along with the application fee at the time of submitting the application. On selection to the program this Initial amount will be adjusted towards the Registration amount and the balance amount to be paid by the applicant. Initial amount shall be refunded only if the applicant is not selected by the institute. Initial payment will not be refunded in case of any/all of the following conditions:
    4.1. The application is found to be incomplete or inaccurate at any stage of scrutiny. (appearing in PAT does not confirm application acceptance/clearance of scrutiny)
    4.2. The applicant is offered a seat for the program and does not join before the date mentioned in the offer letter.
  5. Detailed instructions on how to complete both parts of the CAF, modes of payment of Application Fees and submission of supporting documents are provided along with the CAF.
    Attention is drawn to the following items:
    5.1. Completing CAF Part-A (online or hand-written) and making payment of Application Fees are required in order to be issued an Admit Card for the PAT. Handwritten CAFs can be couriered to NIIT Imperia centres. Applications will be accepted till the maximum limit of applications is reached.
    5.3. Cash, Credit Card, Cheque or EFT are acceptable modes for payment of Application Fees. The candidate needs to specify his Payment Mode on the CAF. Cash and Credit Card transactions are possible only at NIIT Imperia centres. Cheques can be couriered to NIIT Imperia centres. Cheque details, and EFT transaction details, need to be recorded on the CAF.

How to make payment Online?

Online applicants can use Online Payment Gateway by selecting 'credit card' as a preferred payment Mode in the Program Selection Page.

On selecting 'Credit Card' as the payment mode, person has to select 'Enter Payment Details' button. This will lead to the ICICI Online Payment Gateway page.

Candidate has to give credit card details, like Card Number, expiry date and so on and select 'Pay' button for the payment.

Bank Loans

NIIT Imperia has worked out a Customised Education Loan Scheme with Leading Banks in order to encourage students to pursue the Executive Management Programs. The Scheme is innovatively designed to enable working executives to spread out the repayment over a period of up to 12,24 or 36 months. Final approval of the loan is subject to candidate fulfilling the necessary requirement laid by the bank. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure the payment by the bank is released in time.

Deferred Payment

Candidates seeking admission need to pay the full fee at the time of admission. However for convenience of students, for some programs there is an Deferred payment facility. Candidates availing Deferred payment facility need to necessarily submit Post Dated Cheques toward the balance program fee as per the payment schedule at the time of admission. It is the students responsibility to ensure the cheques are realised on presentation. NIIT or the Institute will not be responsible nor send any reminder for the Installment dues.

Program Aptitude Test

NIIT Imperia Program Aptitude Test

The NIIT Imperia Program Aptitude Test (PAT) is built upon NIIT's research and validated conduct of test administrations on several thousand students. The test has been specifically designed to facilitate NIIT Imperia and its academic partners in selecting applicants for various Programs of Study.

The Program Aptitude Test is a multiple-choice test of 90 minutes, with maximum score of 100. PAT is distinctive because it measures aptitude not only through skills and abilities in functional areas, but also through an assessment of supporting personality traits that determine success in modern work environments.

P.S. - There is a separate 30 minute test for Executive Program in Applied Finance.

The PAT covers the following four areas:

PROGRAM ASSESSMENT & EXAMINATIONS

14. How and where are the exams conducted?

All programs include classroom quizzes conducted by the faculty over the Synchronous Learning platform at NIIT Imperia centers only. These and classroom-questions are typically not used for transcription, and meant only as feedback.
Every program consists of one or more courses, which are specific subject-topics within the program. Usually, every course has a number of formal examinations associated with it, whose outcome is a part of the student's transcript. These tests are conducted online through the LMS, or at the centre or the campus (during campus visit), or at independent testing centres. Performance in assignments, case-studies, projects, presentations and classroom-participation are other possible instruments of evaluation.


STUDENT FACILITIES

15. What are the class schedules & timings?

Programs for working professionals are conducted in the evenings after 6 PM on weekdays, or throughout the day on weekends. Most programs have 3-hour classroom sessions, usually twice a week. In addition to formal classroom contact, students may be required to participate in collaborative projects at the Education Centres (usually not exceeding 3 hours per week), and undertake self-study, assignments and reference work of about 12 hours per week. Formal contact is not scheduled on national holidays, and specified short-duration vacations. To expedite program completion for working professionals, students are expected to work on some local holidays. The students are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 80% for every course.

16. What is a Student Kit?

Students receive a Welcome Kit when classes commence. The Welcome Kit includes ID Card (mandatory for access to centre facilities), a kit bag, and text books and study material.


FEES AND PAYMENT

17. How much is tuition fee, what does it cover and how much does the program cost?

The Combined Application process including PAT has a fee of Rs. 1000/- for students applying for one program. Longer-duration programs usually have a deferred payment facility, where the student can pay in up to 4 installments. Acceptable payment modes include cash, local cheques, and credit or debit cards, EFT, each with their specific conditions.


FINANCES

18. Is there a provision for a Bank Loan?

NIIT Imperia facilitates, but does not guarantee, loans from banks towards fees and other payments. NIIT Imperia has identified banks who have expressed their readiness to finance students selected for these programs, and has attempted to influence the eligibility and repayment conditions in the students' best interests. However, it is the student's responsibility to understand these conditions, and ensure they are met within stipulated deadlines of the academic calendar.


STUDENT FLEXIBILITIES

19. What if a class is missed due to an unavoidable travel schedule? Can the student view classes missed? / Can the student registered at one NIIT Imperia centre attend classes at a different location?

All features of NIIT Imperia have been designed with the working professional in mind. The Classroom Session replay-on-request facility allows the student to go through the audio-video recording of an earlier session, complete with all classroom discussions, feedback quizzes, etc. The Transiting Student facility allows a student to attend classes at any other city where an NIIT Imperia centre is located. Both these facilities require advance intimation, and are free of charge for all of the scheduled sessions in a program.

20. Web Site Student Zone?

Students receive access to a special Student Zone on the NIIT Imperia website. This provides options for all queries and clarifications in addition to relevant educational material.

21. What are the student rules & discipline guidelines?

Naturally, students are expected to meet high standards of academic and professional discipline, as stipulated by NIIT Imperia and the partner-institute. NIIT's Imperia's Student Rules are available as a separate document.
